I am currently working as a freelance academic and independent consultant, which means that I have many roles with many different organizations. The following is a collection of featured affiliations.
INNSBRUCK SCHOOL OF PEACE STUDIES
Core Faculty Member
The Unit for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, is divided into two components: the MA program in Peace, Development, Security and International Conflict Transformation and the UNESCO Chair for Peace Studies.
I have been a member of the core faculty of the MA program since 2015 as lecturer, facilitator, thesis supervisor, and reviewer among other responsibilities. I am currently supervising the MA theses of several students.
JUSTICE INSTITUTE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA
Program Council
I was elected to the program council in 2020 to set policies, criteria, procedures, schedules and curriculum content for students, the faculty, programs and the institution.
SHIP FOR WORLD YOUTH
Course Facilitator
I was an on-board facilitator on the 32nd Ship for World Youth Leaders (SWY32) program, operated by Cabinet Office (内閣府), Government of Japan. I facilitated a course discussion on peacebuilding and international cooperation. The participants from Japan and around the world study and discuss common issues from a global perspective and participate in various activities that involve multi-cultural and multi-national exchange opportunities to cultivate international awareness and leadership. The program ran for over one month onshore and onboard the ship. We traveled from Yokohama, Japan to Ensenada, Mexico, and returned, with refueling stops in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Guest Speaker
I was invited by Dr. Pam Shaw, Director of the Community Planning Department at VIU, to give a workshop on conflict resolution to the students of the MA program.
DERINGER PSYCHOTHERAPY AND CONSULTING
Mediation and Coaching Consultant
LeeAnna Deringer is a psychotherapist with experience in Indigenous communities, mindfulness and meditation approaches, and post-secondary and addiction treatment contexts. Teaching and research experience in the fields of mental health, Indigenous psychology, and psychotherapy.
We collaborate in providing personalized coaching services to select clients. I have been working under LeeAnna's supervision as a consultant and academic mentor since 2020.
